1920 Cognac Quevedo Cat Spanish Linen Backed Poster

This is a large poster featuring Quevedo cognac with a cat in a red coat and matching tie holding a bottle of Cognac. The bottle features the portrait of the 17th century Spanish writer Francisco de Quevedo whose immense and contradictory work is rich in burlesque and satirical pages. The author is among the most popular in Iberian literature, mocks the failings of his contemporaries.

The poster is linen-backed and in good condition for its age. There is one tiny tear along the left side and there is some ink transfer seen on the poster which is common for posters of this age. The poster measures 39.75x28.75 inches with the linen measuring 43.87x32.78 inches.
